perfect - and so do we! Based near Bristol and Bath, the Ardeton String
Quartet is a young and vibrant musical ensemble, and we've been playing
for weddings, parties
and corporate functions in the South West and South Wales
since 2001. With an unrivalled 9 hours of music in our
constantly-expanding repertoire, whether it's classical, pop, rock, jazz
or showtunes you need to make your day, we guarantee you a first-class performance
which will wow your guests and make your day truly special.
What makes us different?
After 10 years and with well over 500 weddings across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Avon and Berkshire under our belt, we still love what we do - otherwise we wouldn't be doing it! That comes across in our gigs, but don't take our word for it - check out our client testimonials. If you want some gentle background music that's great, but we don't just play our music we perform it. Whilst we're on the subject of music, we have one of the largest and diverse repertoires in the country. Take a look at our music list, which is expanding weekly - if your favourite song isn't there, just ask - if it's not already waiting to be added to the list, we can almost certainly add it in time for your day. All four of us in the Ardeton String Quartet perform professionally with orchestras and ensembles across the UK, and from our love of playing as a quartet we formed The Ardeton Ensemble, which performs recitals for music societies and festivals across the UK. Also, to show our commitment to making your event perfect, we offer wedding music packages rather than an hourly rate like other groups so that you can just relax and leave all of the music to us on your day rather than worrying about watching the clock or brokering a deal with musicians so that you're not left without music!

You want your wedding day to be perfect, and so do we. We know there are a million things to organise in the run-up to the big day, so once you book the Ardeton String Quartet you can relax in the knowledge your music is in good hands. If you're not sure of what music to walk in to, you can arrange a music consultation with husband-and-wife team Sarah and Dury where we will give you impartial advice and you can listen to samples at our Chipping Sodbury base.
Having performed for over 500 weddings, we will ensure everything on your day is
timed to perfection. Even after so many weddings, every day is unique to us and we
love what we do, which is why we offer bespoke wedding service.

Unlike other quartets we don't work on an hourly rate - you won't be watching

Whilst based in Bristol and Bath, Ardeton String
Quartet performs for corporate events across the UK, proving
particularly popular in London and Birmingham, and has an
impressive portfolio of clients, with previous events including
product launches for Marks and Spencers PLC, drinks receptions
for Sky Arts, Lloyds TSB, the NHS, the British Society
for Haemotology and Hartham Park Associates, graduate balls
for Birmingham and Manchester Universities, and banquets for KPMF,
The Welsh Tourist Board and the Arts Council of Wales at

Do you work in my area?
Probably! The Ardeton String Quartet are based just north of
Bristol and Bath, and work primarily across the following areas:
Gloucestershire, Somerset, Swindon & Wiltshire, Reading & Berkshire and South Wales.
However, we have also been booked to play in London, Birmingham, the
West Midlands, Dorset and Cornwall, but travel fees can be quite high.

We are available to provide music for weddings, banquets, parties and corporate events in the South West (including Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Hereford and Somerset) and South Wales (including Monmouth, Newport and Cardiff). We also work along the M4 corridor to London (including Reading, Wiltshire, Swindon and Berkshire) and increasingly across the UK.
